Tuesday, May 25th was Hunter's Preschool Graduation. There was a little miscommunication sent home with Hunter on Monday. He had a paper in his backpack that confirmed his graduation time at 10am. HIS graduation was at 1:30pm. So, we left and went back at 1:30pm. Graduation was no different than May Day. He was the first one in the room and led his teacher's and the rest of his class to their chairs. As soon as he saw me...yep, you guessed it, he walked over to me and sat down with me and wouldn't go back with his classmates. It was so cute though!
The program consisted of his teacher, Mrs. Mellor, thanking the parents for letting the teachers be such an integral part of the kids lives during the school year. She also went on and told us of ways that we, as parents, can help our children learn and stay on track for the next school year. Then she gave the kids their "diploma's" and an award unique to each child, along with a Preschool Yearbook.
I am so incredibly proud of my sweet little Hunter and the progress he has made since starting preschool in February. Deciding to get him tested at the district office was a very difficult decision, but I am so happy I made the right decision for Hunter. When he started school in February, his vocabulary was so difficult for everyone (other than Zane and I) to understand, he was only using 2 word sentences, he knew how to match colors and shapes, but couldn't tell you what they were (other than blue and a circle), he couldn't tell us when he was hurting. His progress 3 months later....he speaks to where most people can understand him, he uses multiple word sentences, he can tell you shapes and colors and he can tell us when he is hurting or doesn't feel good. It is A.MAZING to me to see the difference just 3 months made for him.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Mrs. Mellor, Mrs. Dyreng, Mrs. Williams and Mrs. K for all the time and effort and hard work you put in to help me sweet little Hunter!
I LOVE this picture! Hunter and his two "favorite friends"...Landon and Isabella.
I had to through this picture in...he was telling me all about snack time...while eating a cookie!
Proudly holding his "Preschool Diploma"! Isn't it the cutest diploma?
The award unique to Hunter, the "I Love Chocolate Milk" Award. Mrs. Mellor said he can drink 2, sometimes 3 cartons of chocolate milk during each snack time. He is definitely his Daddy's boy...a milk lover!
