Tubes = Happy Baby

After way too many ear infections and way too many antibiotics, Paizlei finally got tubes in her tiny ears last Wednesday.  It is amazing to me to see the difference in a baby when they get the tubes put in.  She has never really been a fussy baby, before she had the surgery for it, she was fussing a little here and there, pulling at her ears...just not her normal happy self.  Once she had the surgery...well, a few days after the surgery, we noticed she is a lot happier, wants to play with Hunter more, and doesn't fuss near as much.  It's true, what everyone says about a baby getting tubes, they make a huge difference in the baby.  Thank goodness for modern day medicine.

On our way to the hospital...dad had to stop at Walker's for gas and a Monster...silly daddy.

Playing with daddy in her room.

Poor little girl didn't like the medicine they gave her.  The nurse said she would act drunk...didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary with her...other than she had this sad look on her face and cried for about 5 minutes.

Paizlei did not like going with Dr. Pratt into the OR.
Zane thought I was an idiot because I wanted to stay by the OR door until she stopped crying. I told him it's a mom thing, right?  Yeah, I cried after that door closed.

Paizlei coming out of surgery...trying to come out of the anesthesia.  She DID NOT like that at all.  I felt so bad for her.  She didn't understand why she felt funny, she kept pulling at her ears and slapping the side of her head.  She must be old enough to feel the difference.

Me and my sweet baby girl.  She only wanted mommy afterwards, but even then, she still didn't know what she wanted.  One thing was for sure, she didn't want her dad.
