Today, as I was in the local Copy Center, there was a mother, her daughter and her daughter's kids there talking about their daughter/sister who is a photographer in Okinawa, Japan. After visiting with them for a few minutes, they gave me her website. When I came home, and after I got the kids their lunch and down for the naps, I went to Kristi's website. WOW...she is an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. photographer.
Photography has ALWAYS been a passion of mine. I have never really had a good camera to really do anything with. But, when we got our taxes back, Zane surprised me with a Nikon D3000 DSLR. I have been wanting this camera for quite some time, and he knew it. I think he actually gave me the camera so that I can do something to get me out of the house and doing something that I LOVE. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my kids and I LOVE being with them, I just need a little something for me too.)
Now, I have this camera. I have been practicing with it, learning ALL about DSLR's and having an absolute ball.
Now, that I have done my research, learned a TON about my DSLR, I am ready to start building a portfolio of my photography.
So, if anyone wants FREE pictures of their children, babies, family, couples...the list goes on and on...please send me an email and we can work something out. My goal is to work on my portfolio for about a year, give everyone I photograph copies of their pictures on a CD, and then publish my favorites in a new photography blog...still in the works.
I am so excited about this and hopefully I can get family and friends to let me do their photography.
