One night while Zane was putting Paizlei to bed, he leaned on the side rail of her crib and leaned in a little too hard and the top of the rail snapped in half. So, we had to take the rail off and put Paizlei in the toddler portion of the crib. We figured she would do okay with it. We had Hunter out of the crib and in the BIG boy bed at 18 months, Paizlei is 16 months, so we figured, hey, it will work. The first couple of nights she did GREAT! She went to sleep really well, didn't cry at all, didn't fall off/out. The last couple of nights, all she wants to do is play with her toys. We have found her asleep on the floor, asleep partially under the bed, and she has fallen out. So, we have resorted in having her sleep in the Pack-N-Play. I can't put her to bed in a broken crib, especially since she likes to hold onto the rail and jump and she can't sleep in the Pack-N-Play much longer because she is almost as long as the Pack-N-Play.
Our chore today, take apart Hunter's bunk bed and give her the bed that has the rails and see how well she does with it. Hunter would even go near the toddler bed part of the crib, so we put him in the BIG boy bed right off. Hopefully this will work with miss Paizlei Mae.
***On a side note, we just put an order in with the manufacturer to send us another drop down rail...YAY, no more broken crib!!!***

I hope this works! This is really weird because I had a dream last night that we put Crew in a toddler bed! LOL, THAT is so not going to happen -- we haven't even dropped the crib mattress! It's still on newborn setting because he can't pull himself up!
