Bragging Rights...Or So I Thought

There is a funny thing...or not so funny thing, depending on who you are...that happens at meal time with our family.  As of late, whenever Zane is trying to get the kids to eat, they ALWAYS spill breakfast all over, "throw" food "at" him, or spill whatever they are drinking.  I was bragging to him a couple weeks ago, that the kids NEVER do that to me.  I told him, I always try to make meal time fun for the kids in order to keep them from doing naughty things like the afore mentioned messes.  It happened to me!!!  Not just once.  Not twice.  THREE times, in 3 meals, did I get to experience the great breakfast "spill", the "throwing" of the food, the big "splatter" of the drink!!!  Last night, Paizlei threw her dinner plate still full of food.  I don't think she intentionally "threw" it at me personally.  It was more of a toss-on-the-table-in-my-direction kind of "throw".  It didn't land on me, or the table.  Instead, it splattered all over the floor.  Spaghetti...need I say more on the that mess?


This morning, they decided they needed cereal while I was in the shower...there was cereal ALL over my kitchen floor, the counter-top, and the table and chairs.

At lunch today, Paizlei decided she didn't want her drink and took the cup and "threw" it at the floor.  We are trying to graduate the more expensive sippy cups, to the less expensive take-n-toss cups...when the sippy cup hit the floor, the lid popped off and there was OJ everywhere!

Dinner tonight, was much less eventful!  And, I learned my lesson on bragging...it ALWAYS comes back and bites you!!!
