Remember a month ago when I told you about Paizlei's stitches? Well, we had the opportunity to do it again, only this time, it was with Hunter. On Thursday night, I had finished getting Hunter ready for bed, and was almost done dressing Paizlei in her pajama jams, when Hunter came into my bedroom and told me his head hurt. I looked up and he had a big gash above his left eye brow. As soon as I saw it, I knew he would have to get stitches. How did it happen? I remember getting him dressed and when we were done brushing his teeth, he ran into the living room. I have been really slow on getting some of my wall hangings hung up since we moved, mainly because I needed Zane's assistance and he is never home. So, my stuff has been in boxes in my living room. I have a FHE board with assignments along the bottom of the board, below each assignment is a concrete nail that sticks out to hang a little heart on with each family members name on. The only thing I can think of that happened; he was running and didn't stop before he hit the couch, his head flew forward coming in contact with one of the concrete nails. Why was the FHE board out? It usually isn't. I actually had it where I thought he would be able to get it. He thinks the nails sticking out are for him to "hammering the nails in". Needless to say, I feel absolutely horrible about the accident. It is now hung up. Before Zane left on Friday, I made sure he helped me hang the things I needed his help with.
Hunter was such a big and brave boy at the hospital. The only time throughout the whole ordeal, that he cried, was when I told him he had to go to the hospital and then again when the doctor numbed the area. He actually almost fell asleep when the doctor was stitching him up. He was so calm and content. I was SO proud of my big boy that night. When he was all stitched up, the nurse brought him a "Star Patient" stick and a Popsicle for "being so big and brave"! On Friday, he was his normal self. He has left the stitches alone.
A very big and very valuable lesson learned in this; if (and that's a BIG IF) we ever move again, Pictures will be hung up immediately. That board will be the first thing to be hung.

Awe... Poor Hunter! :( I feel SO bad! Is that the FHE board I made you that caused it?!? I'm sorry! I hope it heals quickly!
Corinne- No worries! It is 100% my fault for not getting it hung up when we first moved in. I still LOVE the board, and I need to send the one heart out for you to put Paizlei's name on it so they all match. :)
