First Day of Preschool 2011-2012

This morning was Hunter's first day of preschool for the 2011-2012 year.  Once he woke up and got the sleep off him, he was so dang excited.  I was so much fun to watch him get so excited to go to school.  I hope he can keep up his excitement for school every year.  I was going to take him, but decided to let him ride the bus since he LOVES to ride the bus.

Here are some fun photos from Hunter's First Day of Preschool 2011-2012 School Year.

I asked him yesterday what he wanted for breakfast for his first day of school, he told me waffles.  However, I didn't have waffles.  So, we did his 3 favorite things, watermelon, cantaloupe and bread, with a glass of milk.

Isn't he so stinkin' cute?  Waiting on the front porch for the bus.  LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot with the sun flare!

"Mommy, take a peeture of me funny face for Uncle Mike!"  Hunter does the most hilarious funny face.  Where most kids pull their lips to the side with their fingers and stick their tongues out, Hunter hold his hands up by his face and starts shaking uncontrollably.  It's the funniest and cutest thing, and my brother Mike, gets a big kick out of it every time Hunter does it.  It's custom, when we see Mike, he ALWAYS asks Hunter to do "Funny Face"!  Well Mike, here's your Funny Face!

The typical kids funny face.  Believe it or not, he just learned how to do this.  He was having so much fun pulling faces this morning while we waited outside for the bus.

The bus is just down the street.  My sweet boy walking away from me to get on his bus.

"YES! The bus coming Momma!!!"  To say he was excited, truly, truly an understatement!!!

"Bye-bye Mommy!"  Hunter is so lucky, he got the same bus driver he had last year.  We LOVED her!  Every morning he would get on the bus, she would tell him, "Good morning, Hunter!" and a super cute conversation would begin.  When he would get off the bus, he would give her a high-5.  Yep, that's my super cute little boy!  I LOVE him more than words.

My poor guy, he came home and his right eye was swollen and he was crying.  I asked him what happened, he said, "A butterfly bite me!", butterfly meaning a bee.  What a horrible way to end your first day of school.  Poor little guy, I felt so bad for him.  I went to the school shortly after he came home to see if his teacher or bus aide had any idea of when he got stung, they had no clue.  The both told me he was fine in school and on the bus.  So it had to have happened either when they were waiting to load the bus or on the bus and he just didn't say anything or cry until he got home.  I'm happy to say he has pretty much forgotten about it and the swelling has gone down and the stinger out.

Today was his last first day of preschool.  Next year he will be in kindergarten.  **Tears**  I keep telling myself he really shouldn't be this big, and he really shouldn't.
