On Monday morning, July 25th, Paizlei woke up and declared, "I want to wear pink panties!". After the last several months of fateful attempts at potty training her, I couldn't help but be a little hesitant. However, I gave in. I got her out of her "jamma jams", took her diaper off, sat her on the BIG girl toilet, and she goes potty!!! In pink panties she goes. She went all day Monday in pink panties, without a single accident. YAY, baby girl!!!!
Come Tuesday morning, Paizlei again declared, "I want to wear pink panties!". I'm a horrible person, because my first thought was, this is just a fluke, today she will have accidents. Again, I gave in, got her out of her "jamma jams", took her diaper off, sit her on the BIG girl toilet, and she goes potty!!! I again, put her in pink panties, however the thought goes through my mind that we are going to have a lot of accidents today. She proved me wrong!!! Even better than proving Mommy wrong, she recognizes when she has to go potty and goes to the bathroom, climbs on the BIG girl toilet and does her business....PROUDLY!!! Yesterday, we had one small pooh accident, that's it. BIG YAY, baby girl!!!
Come this morning, everything is the same; the declaration, the whole morning process, her going potty in the BIG girl toilet. Today was the day, I should have been having those bad thoughts about accidents. The accidents seem small, when you see how completely excited she is after she recognizes she needs to go, goes in the bathroom all by herself, climb her tiny little bum up on the toilet and go, then come out pulling her pants up with the BIGGEST grin on her adorable little face.
She pretty much potty trained herself. She is so incredibly proud of herself. She feels OH. SO. BIG. in pink panties. She told me this morning, "Waysee Mae were diapers not. Me a BIG girl, Mommy!" Her 3T/4T clothes fit her so much better in pink panties, than in diapers. I am amazed, because she is only 2 years old. 2 YEARS OLD!!!!
