A BIG Movie Star in a Small Town

If you watch KSL, you probably saw Sam Penrod's story, Meet Utah's real-life 'Mater', on Thursday evening.  Well, that super cute "real-life 'Mater'" happens to be on main street, here in Gunnison.  Last Friday, as the kids and I were out running errands, Hunter got super excited, and said, "MOM LOOK, MATOH!", as we were driving by.  By the time I could look, we were a block away, so I turned around to see what he was talking about.  There, right in front of the Casino Star Theater, was the ever famous, and much adored movie star, from Disney's Cars.  With the new Cars 2 out last weekend, our neighbor decided to turn an old tow truck he had been storing, into 'Mater'.  It's been a BIG hit in our small little town.  He has been a photo op for almost every person, young and old...especially the young kids...in Gunnison and surrounding towns.  And, almost every vehicle that has gone through town going camping, 4-wheeling, boating, road trip, have stopped to take photos with 'Mater', my kids joined in on the fun.

Didn't Seth do such an A.MAZING job making this old tow truck, that used to service Gunnison/Centerfield, look so much like 'Mater'?
