Camping with Grandma and Grandpa Black

The weekend of June 24th, the kids and I went camping with Zane's Mom and step-Dad.  Grandma and Grandpa were watching Zane's brother's kids, while they were back east on business.  So, Bridger and Kanyon went camping as well.  We went up Gooseberry, which is the back way into Fish Lake (from I-70).  It's so BEAUTIFUL up there!  We camped right next to a little pond, which was perfect for the boys to practice casting their poles for fishing on Saturday.  What's great about a lot of the campgrounds up there, most of the campgrounds are free camping...but they have out houses.  Another great thing out Gooseberry, is there are fishing holes a plenty!  Hunter LOVES to go fishing, so being up there was perfect.

The only 2 drawbacks to the trip, was getting my kids to sleep.  They are so used to sleeping in their beds, and only their beds, that sleeping somewhere else, somewhere strange.  They did not want to go to sleep, even with a movie in.  Grandma finally turned the movie off, and broke Bridger's little heart.  Sorry Bridge!!!  The other drawback, when Paizlei woke up on Saturday, her ear was draining.  Turns out, she had an outer ear infection...meh?...I didn't know there was such a thing as an outer ear infection.  The PA said it is similar to swimmers ear, and that its just inside the ear canal.  That makes perfect sense, because earlier in the week, we went swimming with my friend Emily and her kids.  After a round of antibiotic ear drops, she was back to her normal goofy self.

Enjoy some photos from our fun camping trip.

Hunter, Paizlei, Kanyon and Bridger...Grandma and Grandpa's 4-wheeler's were so much fun for the kids.  It didn't matter if they got to ride them or not, they had tons of fun playing on them.

Bridger's turn to drive!!!  Paizlei is one lucky girl to be surrounded by all those boy cousins!!!  At least we know she will be protected!

Bridger and Paizlei...don't you love how Paizlei has her puppies?  She cannot go anywhere overnight without her beloved puppies that her Daddy gave her for Valentine's Day a couple years ago.

Paizlei and Bridger....LOVE LOVE LOVE the looks on both of their faces!  Priceless!

On Saturday, we went to Salina Reservoir for a little fishing.  My cute little Hunter sporting Grandpa's hat.  He was so cute, and was having the time of his life fishing and getting a little on-on-one time with Grandpa.

Yep, she's my daughter...she is drinking what was left of my beloved Diet Coke!!!

Kanyon, Bridger and Hunter had a ball throwing rocks in the overflow pond opposite the lake.  This is what Hunter spent most of his time doing.

Bridger and Paizlei...Bridger wanted some of Paizlei's drops of Diet Coke, but she wasn't giving it up for anything.  Little stinker anyway!

Bridger, Grandma, Paizlei, Hunter and Kanyon....the kids had a super fun time having a snowball fight with Grandma.  Bridger or Hunter got Grandma really good at one point...but Grandma got them back.

Hunter and Paizlei having a little fun of their own in the snow.

Thanks for letting me and the kids tag along, Grandma and Grandpa!  We had a great time!!!
