Not Growing Pains...UPDATE

I received a call from our doctor on Friday...we are taking Paizlei to a pediatric Rheumatologist.  After receiving conflicting information from the radiologist who read her x-ray, to what our doctor is stating, we feel it's best to get her to see a specialist.  The radiologist says her x-ray is "remarkable".  HELLO!!!!  What I saw on my daughter's x-ray was NOT remarkable.  But, I'm not really surprised with the report, as there have been many other reports from the radiologists down here that have been questionable.

You can see for yourselves that there is definitely something going on with her little knee.  I think its actually the cushioning cartilage in between that's all chewed up...not her patella.  If you look on the right side of her knee, you can see where it is all chewed up.  Makes me sad to see it and know that she is in pain.  What do you think, does THAT look like "remarkable" to you?  Hmmmm?

THough I think I know what they meant about "remarkable". Remarkable actually means that they see a problem. At least, that's how it has always been for us. Whenever the ultrasounds, CT scans, EKGs, etc, show nothing weird, they always say "findings are unremarkable". Meaning that there is nothing of note. So... I assume that if they say that it is "remarkable", that's the opposite. Remarkable means they see a problem. At least, that's what I can infer from the "unremarkable" results that we have gotten on some of our big tests.

That's a very good point. I looked at the report again, and in the impression part, it says, "Negative". My doctor said there is definitely something there and can't figure out why the report doesn't reiterate that.
