Our Back Yard

This is the newest addition to the "skyline" in Gunnison. The cool thing, it's in our back yard. What is it, you ask? This here is an oil driller. This drill is MASSIVE! It's like it's it's own city. There are probably 15, maybe 20 single wide trailers that the workers live in right there on site. Each trailer has a satellite and a special water pump behind it. We have seen truck after truck go past our house hauling the drills. Now, they are going by the house with pump parts to pump the oil out of the ground. As Hunter and I were looking at the drill today, we watched a guy climb to the very top of the drill tower. It was CRAZY!!! It has been a lot of fun to watch this drill go up the last couple of weeks and watch all of the trucks hauling supplies/parts pass our house. We will keep you posted if they strike oil!
