A Lot To Be Thankful For

This last year has been full of ups and downs for our little family. I never truly knew how much we had to be thankful for until I got thinking about it and looking back to the last year. We have truly had our ups and downs. But, those ups and downs have brought Zane and I closer than I thought was ever possible. I have such love and respect for him. He works very hard to provide for the kids and I. He works when he is sick. He very rarely complains. He is such an amazing father to our kids. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful and loving husband.
Our ups and downs have also made me realize how fragile life truly is and how it can change in an instant. As I'm sure most of you know the transition of another child is very difficult, Hunter did remarkably well. There were times when he was mean to Paizlei, but I know that is normal. We are so blessed to have two healthy kids. When Paizlei was born, it was the scariest, most uncertain event Zane and I have ever endured. She is a walking miracle. I often think of how bad things could have been for her and how early she could have been and I am so grateful we didn't have to endure that. Paizlei has so much fun playing with her big brother. She is such a smart young lady. I love her more and more each day. I am so grateful for my sweet and amazing little Hunter. He amazes me daily with his quirks, his smarts, the love he has for his sister. He is such a sweet big brother and son. I love him more and more each day.
And now we are dealing with my health problems. I am truly hopeful that with time, the doctors will be able to give me some more definite answers as to what is causing my chest attacks and find a way to stop them completely. If that requires me to take medication for the rest of my life, I am willing to take that step.
One thing I have learned through all of this, is I have the most amazing husband in the world! Zane has been there for me through thick and thin. His work, thank you from the bottom of my heart Sgt. Christensen, has been absolutely amazing and understanding through it all. I have also learned that I have the best parents and family a girl could ask for. Being so sick with the pregnancy and having 2 kids in 2 different places for 3 weeks, my family was so supportive and willing to help out where they could. Last, but definitely not least, my wonderfully and amazing in-laws. You have all been here and willing to help me when I call. I am so grateful I have great relationships with you.
Thank you to my wonderful husband, my two sweet and adorable kids, my parents and siblings, and my in-laws for being there for Zane and I. We couldn't have made it without any of you in our lives. We love you all so very much!!!!

That is awsome, I don't know how people do it, if they don't have family close! And these NICU babies do make you stop and soak life up for a minute!
