We started Saturday off with the annual Easter Egg Hunt put on by Gunnison City. The kids got up early and were so excited to go! While we were waiting for the gun to fire, the kids got to see the Easter Bunny. While Hunter was a little afraid of him, Paizlei was all about giving him knuckles and high-5's.
Later in the day, while Zane was outside playing with Hunter and Paizlei, I locked myself in the house and played "Easter Bunny". Once the scene was set, I went outside and we went for a little drive. When we came home, the kids were a little confused because the Easter Bunny had visited our house. Once they realized they could go see what was in their baskets, they were so cute and so excited! And, I was really proud of myself for not going ALL OUT like I usually do for Easter. I was even more proud of myself for only buying a chocolate Easter bunny for each of the baskets and only ONE bag of Easter candy. I used that candy, and money to fill the plastic eggs with. Once we were done with the Easter baskets, we colored Easter eggs. The kids LOVED it!
On Sunday afternoon, after church, and after we got back from having dinner with my parents in Ephraim, and before Zane had to go to work (he works nights, so he was asleep all day), I brought the kids in from playing outside and set Zane out to set up the Easter egg hunt. Boy did they LOVE that! They had so much fun! Paizlei wanted all the pink and purple eggs, while Hunter was just on a hunt to get whatever he could get.
