Pickin' Out Pumpkins

I LOVE LOVE LOVE fall, Halloween and the beautiful vibrant colors associated with fall.  It's such a fun time of year.  Pumpkins everywhere.  Letting the kids pick out their Halloween costumes.  I promised Hunter before he went to school, when he got home from school, ate lunch and had quiet time, we would go pick them out.  I also told both he and Paizlei they had to be good or we wouldn't go.  They were both extra good, of course.  Hunter and Paizlei were so excited to go and pick out their pumpkins.  After seeing pumpkin patch after pumpkin patch around the valley, yesterday (10/03/11), I took the kids down to Beck Family Farms in Centerfield to let them pick out their pumpkins.  My friend Emily and I are going to take the kids later this week to the actual pumpkin patch.  I think they offer hay rides through the patch on Saturday's, and I know Hunter would LOVE that!!!

Here is our little adventure to Beck Family Farms:

 Hunter LOVES these big hay bales!!!  He keeps telling me he wants some fro our house.  I hate to break his heart, but I think we will stick with the regular ol' rectangle straw bales for decorating.  Sorry buddy!

 I told you they were excited to go pick out their pumpkins!!!

 

 "I want to sit on punkin' Mommy!"  Funny little girl.

 That tall pumpkin in front, the pumpkin Hunter picked out is twice as tall as that one.  He kept going back to it and telling me that's the one he wanted.

 Hunter LOVED pulling the wagon around.  He was so dang cute and so excited!
