The Imagination of a 4-Year Old

My sweet little boy and his imagination really cracks me up sometimes.  Since this is my journal of sorts, I need to document the little things he says.

One day last week, Zane, myself and the kids were on our way to Ephraim to WalMart.  As we were passing by the Manti Temple, Hunter holds his little finger up to his mouth and says "shhhh, that's what we do in tempo!" As we were coming up to the north entrance to the temple grounds, Hunter, matter-of-fact, said, "I want to go indide tempo to have a talk with Jesus!".  Awe...make my heart melt!  My sweet little boy!  Sometimes...MOST TIMES...I take for granted living so close to the temple.

Later this same day, when we were getting our groceries from WalMart, we pass the calendars.  Of course, there is a Toy Story 3 calendar there, which he absolutely wants one.  Begs and begs and begs until I finally cave, because I don't really want another scene by my kids in WalMart, I go back and get the calendar for him.  As we were getting the kids in the car, Hunter insists on have his calendar.  Zane asks him if he knows what it is, Hunter responds, "Yeah, it my day-off book!".  He calls it his "day-off book", because we have a calendar that hangs on the side of our fridge, where Zane keeps track of his hours he works farming.  And, Zane looks at it and tells me what days he has off from working in the jail, hence the "day-off book" came about!  Hunter is such a SUPER. SMART. LITTLE. BOY.

Today, I was working on some edits on some engagements I took for a friend, when Hunter comes in the office, BIG grin on his adorable little face, and asks me, "can I bahwoh some you time, peese Momma?"  (can I borrow some of your time, please, Momma?")  He wanted my help putting together one of the floor puzzles we got him.  He caught me so off guard when he said that, because he NEVER talks like that!  He has never asked to "borrow some of my time".  It was so funny!

Yep, he got a BIG hug from his BIGGEST fan!!!!
