Overheard in the Vincent Home

The more we are cooped up inside, the more Hunter & Paizlei sass Zane and I, and each other.  We are itching for spring to get here so we can go outside.  But, until then, here are some funny conversations overheard in our home.  


{DON'T SASS ME, MOM!} Hunter said this to me in a not very nice tone after I told him to leave his sister alone.


{Mommy go 3!  One, twooooooo....NO, not Mommy's turn!  IT'S HUNTER'S TURN!!!  YAY!!!  I go up a ladder, down a chute, up a chute and down a ladder!  AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD, HUNTER WIN!!!!  YAY FOR HUNTER!}  Hunter as we were playing Chutes and Ladders, politely told me exactly HOW to play the game!


{DAT MIIIIIIIIINE!}  One of Paizlei's new favorite things to say regardless if it is hers or not.


{Daddy, you say bad word, you need on your tongue, RIGHT NOW!}  Dad said "For goodness sakes!", and Hunter thought he said "something else".   Hunter heard the "something else" at a friends house and now he repeats it frequently.  We know he heard it at someone else's house because we don't talk like that here.  Anyway, after Hunter heard Dad say, "for goodness sakes!", he opened the fridge and got out the Tabasco Sauce.  One day at dinner time, I made the mistake of telling Hunter TS is for when you say a naughty word...mind you, we have NEVER used it on Hunter.


{Weesee a monkey!  Weesee monkey do!}  I often tell Hunter and Paizlei they have this "monkey see, monkey do" trait about them.  One day, when Hunter was at school, Paizlei got into something she shouldn't have gotten into.  When I confronted her about it, this is what she said.


{Hunter going to run away.  You not nice, Pacedewey!}  Paizlei was giving Hunter a piece of his own medicine, which he did not like at all.  When he had had enough of it, he let Paizlei know.


{Why, Mommy?  I not make mess.  Pacedewey not make mess.  DADDY MAKE DA MESS!!!!  DADDY CLEAN UP!!!!}  I asked Hunter and Paizlei to clean up the mess they made in the family room...on a side note, Daddy was at work, so there was NO WAY Daddy could "make da mess".  I tried to explain that to Hunter...
{No, Daddy make da mess last da night.  Me not!  Pacedewey not!  Daddy!}  At least he knows how to reason, although it didn't work.


{I luf you, Mommy!  I even luf you wainbow hair!}  Hunter telling me he loves me, even my gray hair.  I think it's really funny, because my sister's little boy, who is 3 months older than Hunter said something similar to my sister about her gray hair.


{Me need go docoh!  Me need go!}  Hunter, after he got a small scratch on his finger.


{Seben.  Eight.  Nine.  Ten.  Eleben.  Twelbe!}  Paizlei's counting skills.  It's so funny that she can count from 7-12, but not 1-7...this is all by herself.  If we start counting, she will say the next number.


{Dat Goosy, and Mickey, and Mimmie Nouse, and Dongald, and Daishe.  All Mimmie Nouse!} It's so funny to ask Paizlei to name all of the characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  My favorites are Goosy and Mimmie Nouse.
