A Handy Manny Birthday Party

When I was searching for ideas for a theme for Paizlei's birthday party, I told Hunter he could choose what he wanted for his birthday party theme.  Since last April, after his cousin Bridger's birthday party, he has been bouncing back and forth between a "tractor guy" theme and a "Disney Cars" theme.  Then we went to WalMart to get the stuff for Paizlei's Princess Party, and he saw it!  He saw all the Disney's Handy Manny party supplies.  He HAD to have a Handy Manny Party!!!

I told him that he could invite two of his friends from school to come to his party.  Of course, he had to invite his "best fend, Landon", and his other partner in crime, Hunter G.  We took all the invite out to everyone in Gunnison.  He was so excited to take it to Landon's and Hunter G.'s, he could hardly stand it.  I believe him hand delivering the invites to his friends made it more real for him, more fun.  Of course, the day of, when Landon got to our house, he made himself right at home.  Hunter G. on the other hand, was a little timid, until the presents were opened and the 3 of them went off of have fun.  Hunter also had his cousins Wyatt and Kyler there, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Young, Black and Vincent.  Landon's Mom and oldest sister, Dakota came, as well as our awesome friends, the Powell's, Chad, Bri and Gregg.  I think he had a SUPER FUN AND VERY ENJOYABLE birthday party.

Hunter faired pretty good at his birthday.  He got 5 new outfits, a Cars bean bag toss game, a Matchbox cars racetrack my Mom made, pajamas, Play-Doh Hamburger Maker, Spiderman set, a box of Matchbox cars, Radio Flyer Scooter, 24 piece puzzle from his sister, and several pre-kindergarten sticker books to help him learn his ABC's and 123's, Handy Manny camera and a Disney Car's sticker matching book, and $10.  Thank you all who came and supported Hunter on his day!!!  And thank you all for the gifts!!!

On his actual birthday, January 4th, I took donuts to his preschool class for his "birthday treat"!  Fist time I got to do that, it was SO MUCH FUN!!!  I absolutely enjoyed it.  Hunter was SO EXCITED to help pass out the treat and be the center of attention.

He came home from school on his birthday with this super cute "birthday hat"!  He loved it then, and loves it now.

I made the birthday treats for Hunter's party.  I couldn't find ANYTHING to decorate the cupcakes with.  I Found some Handy Manny stickers we had at home, copied them, and glued matching pieces to toothpicks and used them for the decorations.  I thought they turned out really cute!

This is the gift from Hunter G.  He got 5 Matchbox cars...which he LOVES!!!  And 2 Spiderman figures.

Hunter and Landon checking out Hunter's BIG gift from Mommy, Daddy and Paizlei.  He got a Radio Flyer scooter.  I CANNOT keep him off of it.  HE LOVES IT!!!  It was definitely the hit of the party.  Every child that was at the party, had to have a turn on it.
Landon, Hunter G., Gregg and Hunter having fun with the Play-Doh Hamburger maker that Landon gave Hunter.  All the colors are mixed up, but he sure has had a great time playing with it, as well as Paizlei.  They both LOVE Play-Doh!!!

Hunter and his new scooter from Mommy, Daddy and Paizlei.  PS...just don't look at his unmatched socks.  He was determined to wear THOSE socks and wouldn't let me put matching socks on him.  And, it looks like he wet his pants...he DIDN'T...he spilled water on him in a not very nice spot.

My super smart 2 year old has even figured out how to work the scooter without help from anyone.  It's about as big as she is.  Hunter is such a good sport to share it with her.
