When Paizlei was in the NICU, I met some A.MAZING ladies, who also had little miracles in the NICU. When you have a baby in the NICU, making friends with other mommies of NICU miracles, is a much needed blessing. It gives you someone to talk to, someone who is going through much of the same emotional roller coaster...maybe not the same circumstances...someones shoulder to cry on, relate to, and become great friends.
Today, Paizlei and I went to Herriman for a "preemie play date". What a play date it was! A lot of playing, chasing, the most A.MAZING homemade lunch I have had in a very long time, and last, but not least, some great visiting with the amazing ladies I met, reminiscing of each little miracle and the different experiences of NICU life.
These 5 babies were all born within 2 months of each other and are now 17-18 months old. Each one of them had many different mountains to climb, before they were able to come home. These 5 babies are all walking miracles. Each of them hold a very special place in my heart. Little do they know of the amazing bond they share with each other.
I had the BEST time today! Thank you for a great play date! It was so great to see you Megan, Kelli and Audrey! I hope we can get together again...hopefully before another 18 months have passed...maybe an end of summer play date-September-ish???

Such a great adventure! It was so great to finally all get together. Thanks so much for spearheading the whole event! SO MUCH FUN!!
