It's no lie,
I LOVE the Christmas season!
It's one of my most favorite times of the year.
We celebrate the birth of our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We get to decorate our homes
all nice and pretty.
Baking.
Baking.
And more baking.
When we are young,
we learn that just because we give a gift,
doesn't always mean we are going to get one in return.
Hence,
it's better to give,
than to receive.
And,
we get to listen to and sing
some of the most
beautiful,
uplifting,
poignant musical numbers.
Gunnison Valley Elementary School
put on their annual Christmas Program
on Monday, December 3, 2012.
This is my first year
as a parent
that I got to go and listen to my sweet child
sing his little heart out.
It was my first year
to have bragging rights
on how cute my child was in the program.
It was my first year
to sit back and watch my sweet little boy
rub the back of the little girl sitting next to him
all because "she was scared and crying."
It was my first year
to giggle at my 5 year old
because of the silly faces he was pulling.
And,
it was my first year
to just laugh at my little kindergartner
up in the stands picking his nose!
Oh YES!
He was up there,
proudly picking away.
I LOVE YOU AS BIG AS THE SKY,
my sweet, tender-hearted Hunter!!!
Thank you for making this Mommy PROUD!!!!
I LOVE this little boy...and his beautiful curls...and face-pulling, and nose-picking, and back-rubbing...he is TRULY a tender heart!
I was totally amazed at how good he was. It was late in the evening, so his meds had COMPLETELY wore off, and he was sitting there, behaving. When he saw us, he didn't attempt to run to us. (Daddy has a REALLY DIFFICULT TIME focusing my camera. (: )
All the kids in GVES (minus those who are sick)
All of the kindergartners and 2 rows of first graders. The kindergartners sang, Jingle Bells and Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer.
