Our July 4th 2012

The 4th of July is one of my FAVORITE holidays!  I was really bummed this year when I found out Zane had to do a 10am-10pm shift that day.  We didn't really do all that much celebrating.  No BBQ.  No at-home fireworks because Gunnison City banned all at-home fireworks (I was okay with that because I think they are a HUGE waste of money...even if the kids like them).

We did get to go to the city's firework show they put on as part of their BIG July 4th celebrations.  Hunter and Paizlei LOVED watching them!  Cooper was asleep, all snuggled in his carseat and didn't budge even with the loud bangs and pops!  I was surprised, I thought they would scare him.

Paizlei is turning into such a Daddy's girl!  And Hunter is in this stage where he does NOT want his picture taken.  Hence the reason there are no photos of him at the fireworks.

Saturday morning before Zane left for work, I had him help me get all 3 kids dressed and ready for the parade...sunscreen and all.  Yes, I tackled all 3 kids at the parade by myself!  It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.  Cooper is such a good baby.  I only took him out of the stroller for a few minutes to show him to a couple of friends I ran into.

I was so excited this year because I found 4th of July outfits for all 3 of my kids!  It was so much fun getting them dressed that morning!  They may not all match, but it sure was fun picking it all out!

We cannot go to a parade without getting a shot of our AMAZING military and Old Glory!

This photo was taken before the parade, I just can't get it to move...they were having too much fun playing in the gravel in the road from the waterline construction the city has been doing.  They were making a "big pile of rocks"!
