Last Thursday Hunter started to get croupy yet again! The ninth time since September. We took him to the doctor today because his cough was worse, but he is coughing the gunk out, which is supposed to be a good thing. We found out that he also has an ear infection w/ lots of fluid in his ears. That would explain why he has been pulling at them the last couple of days! The doctor proceeded to tell us that because he has had the croup so many times and his young age, we are going to have to take him to a pediatric ENT to be checked out because he thinks little Hunter's trachea is very narrow. He then told us the procedure the specialist is going to do...SCARY for a baby! They will sedate him and then stick a scope down his little tiny throat to look at his trachea. Dr. Clark didn't do a breathing treatment on Hunter, even though I really think he needed one, but we got some antibiotics and the wonderful Pink Swizzle cream to help get rid of the horrible rash he has all over his little body. Not a very fun couple of days in Hunter's little life. The good thing, he won't remember any of it come next week at this time! Boy, how would that be?
