My little Princess has discovered how to take her clothes off to get to her diaper...especially when she is in her room napping or after we put her down for the night (normally when Mommy and Daddy can't see her). She is in a HUGE world of discovery, because not only does she take her diaper off, but if she leaves a little trinket or two (or a pancake), it ends up on my walls, the floor, her feet, her bedding/bed. I know, TMI and WAY GROSS...I apologize! However, this is my journal of sorts, so I need to give details for future reference when she has kids of her own. :)
With all of this going on with her, I have determined she is more than ready to potty train. She absolutely knows what the potty is and what you do in the potty. So, we have started potty training. I was using the regular little panties for potty training. Then, my sweet friend Emily, told me about these GREAT fabric padded training underpants. They. Are. Sent. From. Heaven. INGENIOUS!!! LOVE. THEM. Because I don't believe in Pull-Ups...I think they are simply a glorified diaper and you get absolutely no where when potty training with them. The look like a diaper. They FEEL like a diaper. They ARE a diaper.
These padded underpants are kind of pricey, but they are SO worth the price. AND, I just found them at the WalMart in Payson! They are $6 for a 3 pack. You can look at that as being pricey (that's how I looked at it at first), or you can look at it as a great investment, because unlike Pull-Ups, these are fabric and can be washed and reused over and over and over! And, they come in super adorable prints for girls and boys!!! The one's pictured above are Child Of Mine. At walmart.com, they have them in their Garanimals line.

So much better than pull-ups for sure! They are cute and Im sure she will feel like a big girl wearing them. Not looking forward to potty training, but sounds like these are a great thing to invest in :)
